March 2015: Part 1

March was a pretty big month for us, so I'll split it into two parts! Get ready for a photo overload! We had an exciting start to the month when Josh's girlfriend, Emily, scored us tickets to Disney on Ice (Thanks Emily!!!). Kallie absolutely loved it! It was so cute to see her face light up when she recognized the Disney characters, and loved watching her dance in her seat, and stand up and jump up and down to the music. I enjoyed the show too--Disney did a great job with it:

Before the show, we stopped at JCW's for dinner; Kallie had to ride in Gwen's carseat, because DeeDee accidentally took her carseat and didn't make it back to the house before we left their house

Jenna did pretty well, and was asleep by the end of the show. I love Kallie pointing out all of the characters she recognized!
We went to California this month too! It was SOOO fun! A majority of us were able to fly to California; Mike and Phillip drove a rental car down (so that we had enough room for luggage and what not). We had to get up pretty early for the flight, but the girls did surprisingly well! Kallie had a meltdown by the end of the flight though, and both girls totally crashed once we got into the rental car, and started driving to the hotel.
On the plane! (Kallie didn't want to be in a picture with Jenna and I)

DeeDee goes to the Pacific Life Open every year, so we went to the first day of the tournament with her this year, so everyone can see what it's like! I had gone once with her when I was a Junior in High School, but it was fun to be back and get to watch a little bit of the tennis matches. It was pretty hot out, so it totally wore both of the girls out!
And obviously we spent a lot of time at the pool! We even got Kallie to go down the big slide all by herself (since they wouldn't let her ride on anyone's lap....she wasn't exactly a fan of it, but we were proud of her!)

A huge part of our trip was going to Disneyland and California Adventure! We went to California Adventure the first day, and had so much fun! I love that we can ride with the kids on most of the rides! I think our favorite ride was the Toy Story ride, where you shoot targets the whole ride.

I think that Kallie's favorite part would be the stuff revolving around Frozen. We went to see a Frozen movie that she thought was so fun, and we all enjoyed the castle grounds/square where they had snow! We didn't get to do the sledding, but it was still really cool!

Our good friends from Indiana, the Beck's, moved to California when we moved to Utah. They are lucky enough to have season passes to Disneyland/California Adventure, so they met us there! It was so good to see them again--we sure miss living close to them!

Thankfully, Jenna napped in the stroller a few times during the day, but Kallie was having too much fun to nap! She was so excited from the whole day, that she ended up staying up for another hour or two after we got back for the hotel.

Disneyland was Day 2! Kallie, Jenna, and Gwen all dressed in their Minnie Mouse outfits, and they looked adorable! The adults all took turns watching the kids to ride the big rides; I still love the Indiana Jones ride! We had lunch at Cafe Orleans, where we tried the Monte Cristo sandwich--which was delicious!

More Disneyland fun! We got Jenna her own Minnie Mouse hat, with her name embroidered on the back. Kallie ended up crashing in Jenna's carseat in the middle of the day, and took a 3 hour nap! She had so much fun riding the rides with dad--her favorite of today was the Carousel; she rode on Belle's horse (you can tell because it has the "special bells" on the mane--a lady came and told Mike and Kallie all about it, she seemed disappointed that Kallie was on it first).

Just a few more fun pictures from the trip. My favorite being from after our dinner at The Cheesecake Factory: Kallie had taken a pack of butter from the table, and was holding it in her hands. It (obviously) got soft and melty in her hands. So when she was walking back to the car holding Josh and Emily's hands, it got all over poor Emily!

Thank you so much to Pappy and DeeDee for taking us on this fun trip! We always have so much fun when we get to spend time together, so we are so glad we got to go on this trip with everyone!
