November 2013 (Part 2)

My sweet grandpa, Gene Harvey, passed away on 11-12-13, surrounded by family. I wanted to see him one last time before he passed, so my dad video-chatted me and I got to see him for a few minutes on his last day here on earth. I have 2 other cousins that live out of state, so they also got to video chat and see him one last time, and within minutes of the last video chat, he passed away. My parents told me that they could tell there were angels waiting to receive him.

I feel so lucky to have lived across the street from that wonderful man for 10 years of my life. He was always so kind and caring, and I loved how happy he always was. There are nothing but good things to say about him, and he is truly missed. I am so grateful to know of the Plan of Salvation, and to know that I will get to see him again someday. Thank you for all you taught me Grandpa--I love you! Thankfully, Kallie and I were able to make it out to Utah for the funeral. (Pictures of the Viewing, Funeral, and Grave Site)

We were able to spend a week with my family before coming back to Indiana:

On a typical day, you would see Kallie and Gavin playing with Pappy's Ipad (although, I think that they would say it does not belong to Pappy...). Kallie had a blast playing with her cousin, Gavin, and with her Aunts and Uncles, and Pappy and DeeDee. We also got to see our friend's Abbey and Carson.

Auntie Em took us to her parents house to let us feed Gus, Gus-Gus, and Jewel,  and to take a ride in the "race car" (as Gavin likes to call it). I got to go to a BYU Basketball game with my Dad too!

My parents flew back to Indiana with me (their trip was already planned, so it worked out quite nicely that we all flew back together, and I had extra help with Kallie in the airport and on the plane). We had a fun Thanksgiving week together. We are just a bunch of Turkeys:

My mom helped me prepare a DELICIOUS Thanksgiving dinner. Unfortunately Kallie got sick that weekend, but we loved the snuggles we got from it.

My mom graciously (and in hindsight, thankfully) stayed home with Kallie while the rest of us went to the BYU vs. Notre Dame football game. I didn't go last year (due to Kallie being so little and all), so it was really fun for me to see the campus. Unfortunately we lost those pictures, but the campus is beautiful. We froze the whole game (we later heard it was the coldest game recorded at Notre Dame in MANY years, the snow was blowing in our faces the whole time), but it was still fun!

November 2013 (Part 1)

November was so much fun! We were fortunate enough to get to spend a lot of time with our family this month. Grandpappy and Uncle Josh few into Indiana, and we drove up to Chicago and spent a day at the Aquarium:

We had a fun time seeing a few sites in Chicago, and Josh and I made it out to see The Bean! We also ate some amazing deep dish pizza at Giordano's and Lou Malnati's.

 Mike's totally awesome Aunt and Uncle (Lori and Greg) were gracious enough to let us stay at their house, and they watched Kallie for us while we drove to Wisconsin for the BYU football game. We got to walk around the campus for a bit, and it was fun to be in the stadium and witness the traditional "Jump Around" that their stadium does:

My amazing friend, Natalie, took some family pictures for us! I LOVE the scenery and am so glad we were able to get these pictures done before all of the leaves were gone! Thanks Natalie!
